This policy explains what personal information Studio VDB collects through larissavandebilt.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. Studio VDB is run by Larissa Van de Bilt (“I”, “me”), who is responsible for your information.

What I collect

  • Information you give me. When you fill in the contact form or book a discovery call, I collect your name, email address and anything you choose to share in your message.

  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site collects basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site and your approximate location. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see below).

How I use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange a discovery call

  • To provide and manage my services if we work together

  • To understand how visitors use the site so I can improve it

  • To keep the site secure and working properly

I don’t sell your personal information, and I don’t use it for anything you wouldn’t reasonably expect.

Legal basis (visitors in the EU and UK)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, I process your information because you’ve given consent (for example, to analytics cookies), because it’s needed to take steps towards or carry out a contract with you, or because I have a legitimate interest in running, securing and improving this site and replying to messages.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies from:

  • Squarespace, which hosts the site. Some of these cookies are needed for the site to work; others collect basic visitor statistics.

  • Google Analytics, which helps me understand traffic and how pages perform, such as which pages are visited, time on site and device type. This information is processed by Google.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Who I share it with

I only share your information with trusted service providers that help me run this site and my business, such as Squarespace (website hosting and forms), Google (analytics) and the email and scheduling tools I use. They process it on my behalf and may be located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, appropriate safeguards are in place for these transfers. I may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond to you, and for up to two years afterwards unless we go on to work together. If we work together, I keep records for as long as needed to provide my services and meet legal and accounting obligations. Analytics data is kept for a limited period set in Google Analytics.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how it’s used, to withdraw consent at any time, and to receive a copy of your data. In Mexico, these include your ARCO rights (access, rectification, cancellation and opposition). To use any of these rights, contact me using the details below. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of sending or storing data online is completely secure.

Children

This site is intended for business owners and is not directed at children under 16. I don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
